Energy Awareness Reminder

As we open up to the season, our interactions with others also begin to ramp up.
🌿How are you staying centered?

🌿How are you staying grounded?

🌿Are you using any protection, shielding or banishing work?

🌿What are you holding space for?

Really think about this. Feel this in your body.

Journal about this and comment below if you can share.

Holding Space Meditation

Journal Work:

Holding Space Defined:
Holding Space… I talk about it often but I noticed the need to really break down what it means to do this… This is still an evolving definition but this is part of it:
Holding space is the process in which a person is fully present with themselves and with others.
It is being grounded by Sky and Earth, yet connecting with your senses. Being energetically present, aware and tuned in to who you are holding space for as well as the physical place.
This is the energetic version of active listening but on a sacred, protected and loving level.
Now this is in the best conditions of Holding Space.

Holding Space Meditation

This Meditation is for honing this ability. Please begin this alone a few times before inviting others into your meditation.

This Meditation is Part Movement, Part Stillness and Part Visualization.

1. Begin Standing in a place where you will not be interrupted or distracted for 5-15 minutes.

2. Breathe naturally for a few breaths; then slowly deepen your breathing to 3 counts for inhaling breaths and 3 counts for exhaling breaths. Do this for at least one minute.

3. Visualize your feet touching the Earth. Allow your senses to connect with the Earth Energy. Now reach down with your hands and pull this Earth Energy up through your feet, into your legs, up through each energy center (chakra) and up through the Crown of your head sacrificing the rest of the Earth Energy to the Sky.

4. Reconnect with your breath. Allow your senses to connect with the Sky Energy. Now reach up with your hands and pull this Sky Energy down through the crown of your head, into your third eye, down through your throat and down through each energy center to end through your feet; sacrificing the rest of the Sky Energy to the Earth.

5. Return to the original position. Reconnect with your breath. Allow your senses to be open and aware. Now visualize what it’s like to be calm and safe. Visualize what it’s like to be happy and laughing. When your mind naturally moves away from these images and feelings; allow it and just relax.

6. Repeat the Earth and Sky Energy exercises and visualize your energy at rest and back into your body. Allow your body, mind and energy to recognize this is the closure of the Meditation.

Write in your journal about your experience. The more you can do this meditation with ease and comfort the easier it will become to Hold Space for others.

Crown Care: Protect Your Head

Do you know that soft spot on your head? It’s the place that’s always been soft since we came into the world as babies. Have you ever noticed how tender or sore to the touch it feels? When I talk of the Crown of the Head or the Crown Chakra, I speak of the Fontanelle; this soft spot. What better way to receive Divine Messages or energy then from the open spot on your head? If you are doubting my belief, place your left hand over your Fontanelle and breathe. What did you experience? When I make this connection, I feel a sense of relief in my head and overall peace. As you read further, you will discover many tools to care for and protect your head.

Telepaths, mind readers, migraine sufferers and the energetic sensitive; do you cover your head when you are overwhelmed? The practice of covering or wrapping the head works as a shield to protect the head from sensory as well as energetic overload. Across cultures the practice of covering or dressing the head has been ceremoniously and reverently done. On a day when you know you are going to be bombarded with large groups of people, cover your head with the intention of shielding your head from intrusive energies. When the day is over and you are home, remove your shield and allow yourself to feel if there is a difference without it.

Head Cleansing is a way of bringing your mind back to a place of energetic balance and grounding. The cleansing of the head is more than just shampoo and conditioner. The cleansing of the head should be done with intention to clear and cleanse the head of negativity as well as residual energy. I prefer herbal, plant based scrubs for my head cleansing; however, essential oils or tinctures work well too. Once you have washed your hair (if you have hair) and cleansed your head; be sure to feed your head. When I say feed your head I speak of anointing your head with a light oil. Preferably, I would use coconut oil, jojoba, or olive oil. This works as a seal to complete the practice of head cleansing as well as prepares you for what energies you will come across once you are out in the world.

A method of self care I like to call Energetic Contact is where you seclude yourself for 2-5 minutes to connect and heal with your body using touch, breathing and tuning into your body. For the Crown Chakra or Fontanelle, I like to do a light massage along the edges of the soft spot. The pressure I use is no heavier than that of a dime. Then I use the fingertips of my left hand to lightly connect with the soft spot of the fontanelle, with pressure no heavier than that of a dime. When I’m finished, I cover my head and complete my day or if time permits allow myself to relax laying on my back.

I hope this has encouraged you to care for your crown with more intention. Until next time, bless!
